I consider myself outgoing, funny, witty and have a genuine heart. I am kind but defend what I consider my loyalty/principles/strength and stand up for what I believe in. I read everything I can get my hands on and can be a bit of a nerd, however I'm equal part manly-man and sporty. I love the feeling of a good sweat while riding my bike around the neighborhood or doing something outside the house. I love to take a good vacation out of the country, so far to 4 continents and 12 countries. I don't get caught up in hype- I've always been one to blaze my own trail, (without being an odd-ball mind you!) A free-spirit? Absolutely. Creative? Yes. Pragmatic? Sure. No drama zone. I come from a small Texas border town family where everybody spoke Spanglish- if you're looking for pedigree or someone of fraternity lineage, I'm not your guy. But I do consider myself successful and know how to have a good time in any crowd - jeans and boots to tux and suits. I treat everyone the same, whether they're cleaning the toilets or living in a mansion. Kind of my rules for life. Everyone deserves respect and courtesy, love and a second chance. While I'm far from home I still place a high importance on family and believe that family doesn't always mean those who are your blood relatives. I have been blessed to find my family here in Houston and I value and cherish these folks just as much as my close, small family. Having lost my dad and older brother (and almost my mom as well) I have experienced heart break but also know that faith will carry you through. There's nothing like the unconditional love of a child and their excitement to see you at the end of the day-no matter what kind of day you may have had, so a family oriented man I am. There's always enough love to go around, and I'm very open about letting those close to me know exactly how I feel about them. Affectionate? Definitely! In public? The best!
I'm looking for someone to share time with, to set out on an adventure, spend a lazy Sunday with, chase down a food truck or grab coffee and the paper over breakfast. A friend first, a partner if it's the right match. I value a strong work ethic, sincerity, being humble, a woman who is truly affectionate (important!) and has the energy to constantly be learning something new.
